EA Sports has released new details, as well as a new trailer, that focuses on the changes coming to the goalkeeping system in FIFA 15.
Using extensive motion capturing, EA Sports has added over 50 new save animations for goaltenders, making nearly every save look as different yet realistic as possible.
Goalkeepers will have more advanced A.I., which will lead to better in-net performances due to the ability to read and react to the situations at hand much better than ever before.
“Where previously goalkeepers would catch most balls they touched, you’ll now see a new range of authentic deflections and tips as keepers try to make a save,” EA Sports stated. “Goalkeepers make better decisions in one-on-ones and when tracking the ball on crosses, corners and through balls towards their box. Keepers in FIFA 15 command their area with more awareness and intelligence than ever before.”
Goalkeepers will also now be able to read the trajectory and movement of a ball while it’s in the air, leading to different, new reactions in the form of how they play they ball.
FIFA 15 launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 23. Players who sign up for EA Access on Xbox One can gain access to the game starting September 18.
