Resident Evil Revelations 2 New Info!

Capcom has announced release dates for the episodic Resident Evil Revelations 2 along with some new information.

If you're a Sony player in the North America region there's some good news, as Resident Evil Revelations 2 release one day ahead of everywhere else.

Episode 1 is due for release on February 18. Episode 2 comes February 24. The third instalment releases on March 3 and the final piece on March 11. All episodes can be downloaded via the PSN, Xbox LIVE, or Steam but if you're holding out for a disk-based release, that'll be coming to Europe on March 13.

As far as pricing goes, each episode will cost £4.99/€5.99/$5.99 a pop or, alternatively, you can pick up the Compete Season option for £19.99/€24.99/$24.99 which will net you the lot. Should you opt for the Complete Season, you'll be granted access to additional content including two extra spin-off episodes that tell the story of Moira Burton and the newly-announced Natalia Korda. You'll also be able to play as Hunk in RAID mode.

Should you choose to wait for the retail release, you'll get all the extra episodes and Hunk, and also Albert Wesker for RAID mode, four alternative costumes, and the RAID mode Throwback Stage Pack, which features four stages from old-school Res games.

On November 10, we learned that Barry Burton would indeed be a playable character thanks to an ERSB leak. Now, Capcom has confirmed the news. According to Capcom, the game features two playable storylines; Claire Redfield and Moira Burton and also Barry Burton and Natalia Korda, a young girl who has the power to sense enemies and hidden items.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD New Trailer “The World at War”.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is set during an escalating series of attacks between warring nations, which may explain why it’s one of the toughest entries in the series to date.

This new Final Fantasy Type-0 HD trailer is called World at War – The Battle for Orience.

“A turbulent war of nations threatens to tear the land apart. Fuelled with propaganda, this show of power from the Militesi ruling incumbent, Marshal Cid, attempts to justify the Empire’s actions and discredit Class Zero, Rubrum and the other states.”

Maybe a bit more dramatic than you expected if all you remember about Final Fantasy is chocobos and jumping with Mr Dolphin.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is a PS4 and Xbox One re-release of the under-appreciated PSP original, which didn’t make it to the west. It was directed by Hajime Tabata, who has taken over Final Fantasy 15 from Tetsuya Nomura, and includes a demo for FF15. Expect it in March.

The Crew Comes Today with a Day-One Patch.

Ubisoft's open-world racing game The Crew launches today across consoles and PC. Before you start your trek across the United States, however, you'll need to download an update (see full patch notes below). Though the patch features many tweaks and fixes, Ubisoft says "this patch is a small one," so your download should go quickly, though of course this depends on your Internet connection speed.

The Crew, which has been in development for more than six years, is the first game from French developer Ivory Tower. It's an ambitious racing title that claims to be "the World of Warcraft of racing games" in that it blends MMO and driving elements.

As for why you're not seeing reviews of The Crew just yet, Ubisoft explained last week that the game's online functionality, a key component of the title, would be switched only on launch day, not earlier.

Below are the patch notes for The Crew's launch day update, via Ubisoft. The game is available today across PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

New Batman: Arkham Knight Gameplay.

Need a pick-me-up to get you through your Monday? if you're a Batman fan, you're in luck, as Warner Bros. today released a new gameplay trailer for 2015's Batman: Arkham Knight.

The new footage focuses on the Batmobile, showing off the vehicle's impressive new abilities and more in Battle Mode. This is the second installment in the Ace Chemicals Infiltration series.

You can watch Part 1 here, while the third and final installment will air during Sony's PlayStation Experience community event in early December.

Arkham Knight launches in June 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game was originally targeted to launch this fall, but developer Rocksteady pushed it back to add more polish.

Cyber Monday Deals On Xbox One, PS4 and Suff.

“Cyber Monday” is a sort of a comically anachronistic term, harkening back to a time when people were like: “hey! did you know that the Internet is good for more than just AOL chat rooms?” But here we are, deep into the era when “shopping” basically translates to “Internet shopping,” still calling it Cyber Monday, but getting some great deals nonetheless. We’re seeing some of the same markdowns for Xbox One and PS4 that we got on Friday, with great new software offerings in the mix as well.

First off the bat we’ve got Amazon’s Gold Box deal, worth listing up top because it only lasts for one day. Dragon Age: Inquisition, which most people agree is pretty great if you’re into fantasy, is only $45 on all platforms, which is a solid discount for a brand-new game. Check back throughout the week for more from them.

As with Black Friday, the best hardware deals come to us courtesy of a hungry Microsoft using discounts to thrust its Xbox One back into competition with the PS4, with the spoils going to anyone on the fence about making the upgrade. Walmart has got the Halo: Master chief Collection Xbox One Bundle on Sale for $329 (buy it now so you can spend more time waiting for 343 to fix the multiplayer!), as well as the Xbox One Starter Bundle with free game on sale for $379. Gamestop and Best Buy have comparable bundles as well.

If you’re looking for PS4, that $399 bundle with either The Last of US and GTA 5 or LittleBigPLanet 3 and Lego Batman is still available from a few outlets, so check that out. At Walmart, an extra $50 gets you another free game, which adds up to $10 off whatever you choose. The 3DS XL is on sale for $149, the 2DS for $98.

On the software side, it’s worth looking at Gamestop’s week-long promotion: highlights include Shadow of Mordor for $29.99, Dark Souls for $10.00 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for $39.99, as well as plenty of other deals on hardware and software. Best Buy has Call of Duty: Ghosts for $14.99, which is still probably too much.


For my money, the best deal in video games has a way of repeating itself every season, coming to us courtesy of Square Enix. Square Enix has had some financial difficulties, but through all of that, it’s continued to publish some of the best games on the market. As a result, we get things like an incredible publisher-wide discount on everything physical and digital, which you can browse here. The best deals are for those still rocking an Xbox 360 or PS3, but they should pique the interest of anyone looking to spend some quality time alone in the coming winter months: we’ve got Deus Ex: Human Revolution for $8.00, Tomb Raider for $12.00 and Sleeping Dogs for $8.00. So that’s three of the best games of the late Xbox 360 and PS3 generation for $28.00, and more than worthwhile. On top of that we’ve got a smattering of Final Fantasy, Hitman, and much, much more. The PS4 Game Releases for this December

We made it guys. December. If you’re reading this, then that means you’ve survived the onslaught of another holiday season of blockbuster games. We’re not done yet though, December promises its own fair share of game releases for PS4 -- here they are.

The Crew - December 2, 2014

The Crew promises an open-world, social-infused experience in which players cruise around the United States -- well, a version of the United States. Cities may not be exactly where they are on the map you’re probably used to seeing in school, but their in the vicinity, spread across five regions -- the Midwest, East Coast, South, Mountain States, and West Coast. Unfortunately, if you’re buying into this game early, it’s going to be based on previews and the early betas that have been held as Ubisoft has announced they will not be sending out early review copies to media.

Secret Ponchos - December 2, 2014

Switchblade Monkeys' stylish Wild West PvP, Secret Ponchos, makes its PS4 debut as one of the free PlayStation Plus games for December. Inspired by fighting games and spaghetti westerns, Secret Ponchos pits five outlaws against one another in an arena with a western backdrop. It's simple, but a good time nonetheless.

Game of Thrones - Episode 1: Iron From Ice - December 2, 2014

Telltale Games has announced this weekend that Episode 1: Iron From Ice will release on December 2. As we learned earlier this month, Telltale's game series is based on the world, characters, and events of HBO's TV show, Game of Thrones, which in turn is based on George R.R. Martin's books, A Song of Ice and Fire. In the game, you will control five members of House Forrester in their story, interacting with fan favorite characters throughout the season. Caught up in the events of The War of the Five Kings, you will be placed in a precarious position "where members of the household must do everything they can to prevent the house from meeting its doom.”

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris - December 9, 2014

A sequel to Square Enix’s Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is an isometric adventure that takes you to the Temple of Osiris -- deep in the deserts of Egypt -- in search for the Staff of Osiris. In a race against rival treasure hunter Carter Bell, you both soon discover more than you bargained for.

Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- - December 16, 2014

The fifth installment in the Guilty Gear Series, Guilty Gear Xrd - SIGN- is a 2D fighting game. It continues the frantic fighting action from previous games in the series, but is now presented in cel-shaded graphics. This is said to allow for more dynamic camera movement, while still replicating the feel of 2D sprites.

In addition to the following new releases, PS4 owners who are also PlayStation Plus members are also getting Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition for free in December. So add that to the list of games you've gotta play.

Xbox One Halo Team Committed to Fixing Master Chief Collection's Matchmaking Issues.

Top Xbox boss Phil Spencer, who oversees all of Microsoft's gaming endeavors, has again apologized for Halo: The Master Chief Collection's ongoing matchmaking issues. The Xbox One game, which was released three weeks ago, is still in rough shape for some, with players continuing to report longer-than-expected wait times to find a match and uneven teams when games are eventually found.

"I apologize for the issues," Spencer said on Twitter to a fan. "343 Industries is 100% committed to fixing and make it right for fans."

Immediately following The Master Chief Collection's release on November 11, players reported various matchmaking issues. Microsoft and 343 Industries have been quick to respond, and numerous updates have been released in hopes of improving the experience. The overall matchmaking experience has gotten better since launch, but it remains unreliable for some.

The Master Chief Collection's latest patch was deployed on November 27, though 343 Industries cautions that it still has more work to do.
