"Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham" Travels to Space November 11.

The third LEGO Batman title is only a few months away, Warner Bros. has confirmed. The long-running series of adventure games, featuring a crossover of LEGO with various film and comic book franchises such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, and Lord of the Rings, remains popular with critics and fans. The next installment, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, will follow the Dark Knight as he protects Earth and faces off against a new and very dangerous foe.

True to its title, Beyond Gotham will see Batman doing more than just protecting Gotham City. LEGO Batman 3 will take the Caped Crusader on an adventure into space as he stops the planet-shrinking villain Brainiac from wrecking the planet Earth. Batman will have some help this time around, not only from other D.C. heroes but also from some villains who are not too keen on seeing Earth’s destroyed. Each LEGO game features an ensemble cast of playable characters from the universe it takes place in, but LEGO Batman 3 takes this to the next level with over 150 unlockable avatars from the D.C. franchise.

The new villain, Brainiac, is an android capable of shrinking entire cities and worlds down to a size small enough that he can capture and collect them using devices called the Lantern Rings. Growing weary of capturing mere cities, however, Brainiac decides it’s time to move onto bigger prey, and begins shrinking entire worlds.

He targets planet Earth, prompting Batman and his friends – as well as his foes, including the Joker – to join forces and stop Brainiac by capturing the Lantern Rings.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will be released on November 11 in the US and November 14 in the UK for consoles, PC, and handhelds.

Titanfall Without...Titans.

Since Titanfall released in March, there have been many requests for a mode in Titanfall which didn’t include Titans, making it a pilot vs pilot showdown. The sixth game update brings Pilot Skirmish, which is a new 8v8 mode without AI or Titans, and actually sounds quite interesting.

In addition to this, Marked For Death won’t be rotated out and has been bumped up to a full game mode. There are also new colourblind options to alter crosshair colours and names above heads, as well as some new burn cards. The full update list is below:

IMPROVEMENTS AND OPTIMIZATIONS

FX Optimizations - Optimizing effects processing and moving more effects rendering work onto additional CPU cores is a good thing. So we did that.

Matchmaking - Faster searching, improved team balancing, increasing the likelihood of being in full games, and drastically lowering the chance of having lopsided (e.g. 6v3) matches.

• The score is now shown in the center of the screen at the end of each Last Titan Standing round.
• New HUD Icons for team Titan counts and players using Burn Cards have been added. Last Titan Standing now shows the number of Pilots left alive on each team.
• New voiceover for Round Won and Round Lost events as well as noting whether the gap between the teams’ scores is increasing or decreasing.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES

• Titans no longer show up on the minimap when they dash.
• Atlas and Stryder melee damage values have been switched to mirror their original design intent. The Titan melee damage order is now: Stryder, Atlas, Ogre from least to most. This is also consistent with the hierarchy of damage for the Big Punch mod.
• To stem the influx of Burn Cards at higher levels, the Bonus XP-to-Credits conversion rate for max level players has been adjusted.
• As part of the pan-galactic stimulus package, credits for selling rare Burn Cards have been increased from 200 to 400.

BUG FIXES (All Platforms)

• For the Black Market we slightly reduced the chance to get rare cards in the Standard Pack, and increased the number of rare cards in the Premium Pack from 4 to 5.
• The Auto-Titan vortex effect should no longer orient incorrectly.
• Fixed the shotgun, vortex fireback, and arc cannon bypassing Titan shields when used against a Pilot doing a friendly rodeo.
• The map Export no longer contains areas where you can shoot through covered windows.
• Grenades should now be better at predicting their movement at high frame rates.
• Fixed a rare crash bug on Demeter in Campaign mode.

BUG FIXES (Xbox One)

• Fixed issue where a user couldn’t sign in to Titanfall if there is a second account on the system which has access to Titanfall DLC content which the first user doesn’t.
• Fixed incorrect leave game dialog behavior when in a party.
• Connecting a SmartGlass device to the X1 while Titanfall is running should no longer cause a crash.
• You should no longer be able to get behind walls when rodeoing a Titan that is ejecting on Relic.
• Titan OS no longer says that you are being attacked by an Enemy Pilot when you are inside an enemy Dome Shield.

BUG FIXES (PC)

• Fixed incorrect leave game dialog behavior when in a party.

Last Round "Dead or Alive 5" on Next-Gen.

Dead or Alive 5 is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Koei Tecmo has announced.

Koei Tecmo producer Yosuke Hayashi surprised the audience this weekend at the Japan Gamer's Live event, where he revealed the trailer above (via Esuteru) at the end of a Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate tournament.

Besides what you can see in the trailer, which shows returning fighters like Ryu Hayabusa, all we know about the game at this point is its title, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, that it's being developed by Team Ninja, and that Koei Tecmo plans to release it in Japan during spring 2015. Koei Tecmo didn't say when or if the game will release in other regions.

The most recent Dead or Alive game, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, was released in 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

First Look on the Scary "Resident Evil HD".

Remember when Resident Evil games were still scary? Apparently, so does Capcom. A gameplay trailer released today for the remastered Resident Evil takes us back to the series' horror roots, from zombies to giant snakes.

Technically, the 2015 HD remaster is an updated version of the 2002 HD remake, so the game does give players the option to switch back to the 2002 visuals. In addition to that, Resident Evil supports both a full analog stick movement scheme and the classic tank control scheme.

Capcom first announced their plans to do another HD remaster of Resident Evil just under a month ago, with an announcement trailer and an anticipated release window of "early 2015." At today's Sony event in Japan, the publisher also revealed that Resident Evil Revelations 2 is currently in development for 2015.

The Evil Returns with the "Resident Evil Revelations 2".

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 — and other platforms — in early 2015, Capcom producer Masachika Kawata announced at a Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia press conference today.

Revelations 2 is being developed by the core staff members of the previous entry, which hit Nintendo 3DS and previous generation consoles, but will be set in a new period and a new setting, Kawata said. The game's protagonists will not be Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, Kawata noted, but no other game specifics were announced. The game was announced alongside a live action teaser with the tagline "Evil is watching," but no gameplay footage was shown.

Kawata said Capcom will reveal new information about Resident Evil Revelations 2 next week, and a playable demo will be available at this month's Tokyo Game Show.

In a separate announcement, Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil Revelations 2 would also come to PlayStation 3, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2015.

The existence of Resident Evil Revelations 2 leaked in August when art and a screenshot of the game showed up on Xbox.com.

September 2014: Upcoming Games for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

So here we are, September at last, which means the beginning of more game releases leading up to the Christmas season.

Bungie's FPS MMO, Destiny, gets its release on 9th September worldwide, the game has gathered a huge amount of hype and following.

Other big titles coming next month include FIFA 15, Forza Horizon 2, and Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Disney Infinity 2.0 also drops in, complete with a roundup of Marvel super heroes.

Once again, same as last month, we've left Minecraft for Xbox One on here, as it was initially due in August, but delays with bugs and certifications have meant it's more likely for a September release.

For once this year we can safely say, this month is looking rather exciting in terms of the sheer number and potential quality of game releases - bring it on.
