Xbox One + CoD Advanced Warfare?!? Hell Yeah!

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare will be getting an Xbox One hardware bundle on November 3rd, and it will include, among other things, a whopping 1 TB hard drive.

Your huge hard drive will be encased in an Xbox One with a "custom" Advanced Warfare look. Vague allusions were also made to custom sound effects as well, though what exactly that entailed wasn't mentioned. The bundle also includes a code for the digital "Day Zero" edition of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, so you can get a one day head-start on the competition. It's available for pre-order now on Amazon.

The Creators of "Remember Me" Come Back with "Life Is Strange"

Life is Strange is the next effort from Parisian studio Dontnod Entertainment, an episodic adventure game in which the two lead characters are trying to solve a mysterious disappearance, publisher Square Enix announced today.

Square Enix confirmed to Polygon in June that it was collaborating with Dontnod on a new project; at the time, Dontnod CEO Oskar Guilbert called it "a twist on traditional story-driven games."

Life is Strange takes place in the fictional town of Arcadia Bay, Oregon, where a student named Max Caulfield and her friend Chloe are looking into the disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber. Max, who is returning to Arcadia Bay for the first time in five years, finds out early in Life is Strange that she has the ability to rewind time — a power that can change the player's story. According to Dontnod, "choice and consequence play a key role in how the narrative unfolds."

"Everybody at Dontnod is excited to be working on such a refreshing title," said Jean-Max Moris, creative director at the studio, in a press release today. "We're not only crafting the best game we possibly can, we also feel we're providing the type of experience that perfectly fits today's renewed taste for originality and diversity."

Moris also served as creative director on Dontnod's first game, the 2013 action title Remember Me, which was published by Capcom.

Life is Strange is in development on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Square Enix did not provide any release window for the game.

Speed Up With The Project Cars: Limited Edition.

As with any major release these days it seems a special/limited/exclusive/legendary edition is inevitable. Some people love them, some people believe they have enough tat on their shelves already; opinion is divided and that's okay.

Throwing its hat into the ring, Slightly Mad Studios has announced that Project CARS will be getting similar treatment. Fork out a few extra denominations of your appropriate currency and your game will come in a steel case with slightly nicer artwork — inside the metallic box you'll find a booklet detailing the game's development from behind-the-scenes. You'll also get access to some exclusive career events and five legendary vehicles, including the blistering fast Ford GT40 Mk IV and the sublimely beautiful McLaren F1.

Furthermore if you preorder any copy of Project CARS you can get three additional customised automobiles to add to your garage; the Ruf CTR3 SMS-R, the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster, and the Ariel Atom 3 Mugen.

Unfortunately it appears that you won't be able to get all this automotive content from a single purchase. The pre-order bonus is exclusive to Amazon and "select independent stores", while the limited edition is exclusive to GAME and GameStop Ireland (no word on US distribution). This appears to be becoming common practice amongst publishers.

Dying Light Announcements.

It’s time to get excited for Techland’s coming zombie survival game “Dying Light.” The brutal title, which already includes a slew of cool weapons and the ability to perform parkour, recently launched a trailer that shows the ability to play in co-op mode with four people. Warner Bros., the game’s publisher, revealed the trailer just a few days before Gamescom, which kicks off in Germany next week.

“Up to 4 players will be able to team up to face the dangers of the day and the terrors of the night – two distinct sides of ‘Dying Light’s’ gameplay,” the studio said in a press release on Friday.

During the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles in June, we spoke to “Dying Light’s” game producer Tymon Smektala, who talked about different ways the title could be played.

“It’s a single-player game at heart, but you can also play four player co-op. You can play the whole campaign with other people. We also have a player-versus-player mode, which is called ‘be the zombie,’ and you can play as a zombie and invade other people’s games. It’s really fun,” Smektala told us during E3.

In “Dying Light,” which is told from a first-person perspective, you can explore the open world, search for items and battle the undead. Players can equip themselves with weapons like a spiked baseball bat, a pistol and an electric ax. You can also swim through water, climb walls and explore the rooftops of buildings.

“We really think it is something that will evolve the genre. In normal FPS games, you have to move through corridors, you stick to a path. In our game, you can go everywhere. If you see anything you can reach, you can go there,” Smektala added.

“Dying Light” will be available on five platforms – the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. It will launch sometime during February next year.

The game's development began as a sequel to “Dead Island,” but was turned into a new game because it would contain a variety of new features.

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments has been given a release date.

The latest in the long-running mystery investigation series will release on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC from September 30.
The game contains six cases, where Sherlock has the power to guess the details of an individual's life by observing them. He can also imagine and reconstruct a past scenario by observing the core details of a crime scene.

The developer previously revealed that every choice will have consequences, with multiple ways to solve cases and several endings.

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments is the 10th game in the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes series by Frogwares, which first debuted in 2002 with The Mystery of the Mummy.

Ryse: Son Of Rome Will Be No Longer An Xbox One Exclusive.

Ryse: Son of Rome is headed to Windows PC this fall, publisher Deep Silver announced today.

The currently Xbox One exclusive game will arrive on PC with all of its downloadable content and support for resolutions up to 4K. Developer Crytek will publish the game digitally, while Deep Silver will handle its retail release.

"We are bringing the Ryse experience to PC, with 4K resolution support," said Carl Jones, director of business development at Crytek. "4K gaming is another leap in graphics quality for PC gamers and Ryse is the perfect showcase for what's now possible in high-end PC games. We've given our team the opportunity to show what Cryengine can really achieve, without compromising quality, thanks to the incredible hardware available now to PC gamers. Ryse will be a benchmark PC graphics showcase this year and probably for a long time in future. Our community asked for a Ryse PC version, and we have the means and technology to deliver this title with the highest quality possible."

Released last November alongside the Xbox One, Crytek set Ryse in ancient Rome, where a soldier named Marius must defend against barbarian hordes and uncover political intrigue.

Travell To Hong Kong with The Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition.

Amazon is now accepting pre-orders for Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition, an upgraded PlayStation 4 and Xbox One port of Square Enix's 2012 open-world action game.

According to the Amazon listing, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition bundles a copy of the game with over $85 worth of previously released DLC, similar to the release strategy adopted by this year's Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Editionpre-order customers will also receive a limited edition art book alongside a boxed retail copy.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition will launch on October 14.
