Evolve Is Delayed.

Turtle Rock Studios' shooter Evolve has been delayed to Feb. 10, 2015, publisher Take-Two Interactive announced in an earnings release today. The game was originally planned to hit on Oct. 21.
Take-Two did not provide a reason for the delay of the game, but said the extra development time will benefit the developer behind Evolve and called February "a favorable release window." Developer Turtle Rock recently held a closed alpha test for Evolve on PC.
The multiplayer shooter from the original Left 4 Dead studio was due to arrive during a month that was previously crowded with game releases. But with rival publisher Electronic Arts also pushing titles Battlefield Hardline and Dragon Age Inquisition out of October, the month is starting to look much lighter.
Evolve pits four human (or humanoid) characters against a giant, player-controlled monster in a battle for survival. The game is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
A 2K Games representative provided the following statement to Polygon following Evolve's delay.
"As stated on the Take-Two Interactive earnings call, 2K and Turtle Rock Studios are extending the development of Evolve by a few months to allow enough time to fully realize the vision for Evolve and meet our collective standards of creative excellence. We are encouraged by the press reaction and fan excitement coming out of a very successful E3, and we are now certain we are headed in the right direction with the game and we are confident in delivering a genre-defining product whenEvolve launches on February 10, 2015."

Live Again The Nightmare With The Resident Evil HD

The original survival horror is being re-released as a download-only revamp of the GameCube remake of Resident Evil 1.

Technically this is a remake of a remake, but considering the 2002 GameCube version of Resident Evil is widely regarded as one of the best survival horror games ever made – not to mention one of the best remakes ever – that’s not even close to being a bad thing.

Although based closely on the 1996 PlayStation original, the remake adds a number of new locations and enemies – as well as dramatically improving the graphics, despite retaining the same fixed camera viewpoints.

Apart from a 2009 version for the Wii, the GameCube remake has never been released on any other format. This new downloadable version will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in ‘early’ 2015.

There is no Western price yet but in Japan, where the last gen versions will be released before Christmas, it will cost ¥3,990 (£23).

The game will run in 1080p on next gen consoles and 720p for last gen, and will feature 5.1 surround sound support. You’ll be able to play it in either a classic 4:3 screen ratio or in widescreen.
There’ll also be a new ‘scrolling’ camera, which sounds like a halfway house between the original fixed screen views and the more recent games.
There’s also to be a variety of control styles, starting with the old school tank controls from the original. But there’ll also be a more modern alternative where you simply move in the direction you push the analogue stick.
The remake is a great game but what’s perhaps most interesting about the announcement is what it suggests about Capcom’s future plans for the Resident Evil series.
Is this a sign that they want a return to the true survival horror of the original? Or is it just a simple cash grab to keep the franchise’s name in the headlines? Until they announce Resident Evil 7 (or the rumoured reboot) we won’t know for sure…

Sh*t Lot of Players on Destiny Beta!

Last week, Bungie revealed that 4.6 million players participated in Destiny's beta phase, a program that pushed the game's servers ahead of its September 9 launch. The developer has since offered more numbers behind the beta in large infographic form, found after the break.

Destiny's beta program saw 88,384,720 games played as well as the creation of 6.5 million guardians. The community's kill-to-death ratio in the cooperative story, strike and exploration missions was 22.53, thanks to a grand total of 3.7 billion kills during those quests. What's more, Bungie's Saturday field trip to the moon resulted in 853,235 concurrent players. Relive the Destiny beta through our archived discussions and livestreams, in which we determined we would appreciate an apartment in the game's tower, but still enjoyed kicking back in the social sections.

The Final DLC of Call of Duty: Ghosts.

The final Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC is set for a release on Tuesday, August 5.
‘Nemesis’ will be available on all Xbox platforms on August 5. Activision has yet to announce the DLC release date for the PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
There are four new multiplayer maps available in “Nemesis“:
Goldrush: This map is set in an abandoned gold mine in USA. Narrow tunnels and shafts make it a map suited for close to medium range engagements. Players can ride two mine carts to get around the battlefield quickly.
Subzero: Set in an abandoned Canadian submarine base, this medium-sized map has a traditional three-lane design that allows for engagements of all ranges to take place.
Dynasty: This medium-sized map takes players to a Chinese lakeside village with a variety of elevations for players to take advantage of.
Showtime: This map is a remake of the classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map “Shipment.” The smallest CoD map has been reimagined as a “futuristic death arena.”
“Nemesis” also includes the fourth episode of Extinction mode. Entitled “Exodus,” this map allows players to craft more new weapons, and has new Cryptid aliens for players to face.
Almost all Cryptids from the previous episodes will make an appearance, including the Ancestors which are “the deadliest of enemies with a range of lethal powers including mind control and psionic attacks.”
“Nemesis” is priced at $15, and will be available for download for those who purchase the $50 season pass.

Rumors For A White Xbox One.

A French retailer listed then removed a white Xbox One Sunset Overdrive bundle, priced at €399 ($535, £318). Spotted initially on NeoGaf, GameStop-owned Micromania hasn't since commented on the listing.

A white Xbox One already exists but is exclusive to Microsoft employees. Branded with "I made this" next to the optical drive, one system was auctioned for charity, selling for $11,300.
According to the initial NeoGaf thread that first reported the white Xbox One in January, Microsoft is also considering a $399 Xbox One without an optical drive. This would mean players wouldn't be able to play game discs, Blu-rays, and DVD films.
Microsoft recently confirmed a limited edition Assassin's Creed Unity Xbox One. The company last month also announced unique Xbox One designs for San Diego Comic Con.
GameSpot has contacted Microsoft to ask if it can comment on this white Xbox One rumour.
Sunset Overdrive launches exclusively for Xbox One on October 28. Check outGameSpot's preview of Insomniac's latest title.
